July 16, we had our first meeting as an organization!

I'm happy to say that the members were all quite early ! They arrived at 5:10/5:15 while we were still setting up.

Good Movies and Good News

Hello everyone!

Sorry for not updating during the weekend! :( I got sick on Sunday (when I was supposed to write this up ) and physically could not write about last week's happenings.

But I'm feeling much better now and I'll let you know what happened during the week before !

Last week was pretty uneventful though we first started classes on the 7th (Wednesday) ! I found out that one of my classes was a free period and attendance was not required, so I might do my scholar service during that time or head home and finish up school work there.

During the weekend, I went over to my friend's house along with my boyfriend and her boyfriend. We just chilled out and watched movies and ate pizza ♥ It was really awesome! We watched Lesson from Evil and The Secret World of Arriety. (Forgive me if I spelt it wrong! ) But I absolutely loved these movies!

A Lesson From Evil is a thriller/mystery movie I guess. I would rate this movie an R-16 since there are some scenes of nudity ,torture, and mature themes. If you like blood and good story development, you should try this out !

Summary: I can't really give a summary without giving away what'll happen and who to watch out for. But here goes : School life just isn't the same once a psychopath is among the faculty.

The Secret World of Arriety is a fantasy movie wherein it stars a family of tiny people who live in a small box inside a house in the country side. The family calls themselves "borrowers" only taking things they need without the human beings catching them. However, the main protagonist , Arriety, is seen by a human boy. You guys should watch it since it's by Studio Ghibli and the setting and art is just absolutely beautiful. I want to be a tiny person :'<

I also have good news!

My driver's license is now ready ! I also received my report card for last term!

Though I am confident in driving a manual, but I still have to adjust driving with an automatic and our big car :<

 The remarks for my last term were all pretty positive so I'm very happy with that! I hope to keep up my performance as well as become better at what I do :)

A New Year, A New Term, Bonne Chance!

Hello dear readers!

It's been a terribly long time since I've updated this blog.
And I see now that I've tried other platforms for blogging but I can't seem to stay away from this one.

So I've decided to main this one from now on! :)

A new year for everyone and room to grow and experience new things!
It's very exciting and I'll be starting my 3rd term tomorrow!!

My plans for this year are to do the following:

-Attend the following cons

1. Tamashii Festival
2. Best of Anime
3. Cosmania

-Update my blog every week (maybe twice a week)
-Spend more time with my loved ones rather than online
-Do things I've wanted to do !

Well anyway, that's all I have for now!

De-pooping Shrimp and Burnt Butter??

On Fridays we have our cooking class focused on Fish and Meat dishes.

Last Friday, we just had our first meal done!

We made Shrimp Jambalaya and Beef tenderloin wrapped in Bacon with Hollandaise sauce on top of string beans.

The Shrimp Jambalaya reminds me of Paella and ours came out quite spicy !! We learned how to devein a shrimp (which is de-pooping to me hahaha). It was really interesting!

When we made the Hollandaise sauce, we burnt the butter and it was really terrible! :'( Everything smelt like burnt popcorn and we had to get another butter... sigh such a waste! But it was alright afterwards, we made a pretty decent sauce even though it was a bit on the sour side.

I really enjoyed it! And it actually doesn't take very long to make, just long to prep everything.

Once I've perfected making it again at home, I'll share the recipe :) 

But I believe the serving amount we made is good for one cover so if you want to make for more people, you'd want to adjust the measurements ♥

Kawaii in Manila 2 Event

Hello there everyone!

Sept. 6 was the much awaited, Kawaii in Manila 2!

I'm so sorry I haven't updated in such a long time but I had no internet up until yesterday! :'(
Here is my post about the event and things I've done!

It was extremely fun and I absolutely loved it! It was also my first time to go to Whitespace so I was afraid I wouldn't find it but seeing this in front of the venue gave me reassurance that this is where I have to be! :)

Quick Update

Hello my sweets ♥

A lot has happened while I was away. The main reason I have not been posting was because I had finals. And during my finals, I had no internet.

It was quite difficult living without internet, especially since some of our lecture notes were available only online.

However, I just want to make a quick update to this blog.

• I've got a new phone! Better photos are on their way!! (My phone has several cracks on it and dust was already collecting inside the unit. Getting it repaired is just as much as buying a new phone so-) 
• Finals!! I've pretty much finished up all my finals, I just need one more exam and I'm done. I still have some scholar work to finish up though :( 

Tomorrow's update will involve my visit to my alma matter ♥ Heehee :]

The Results Are In!

The student council results are in now!

And..

I've won the elections! ♥ ♪ ♫

I am extremely happy with the results and my competitors are really awesome. (They're my friends heehee) I was really anxious since my friends are really great candidates ♥ I shall do my best to lead my fellow classmates and be an example as well! :')

Aside from that, Lee will be coming over tomorrow. He wants to watch chick flicks with me!

Honestly I was so surprised to hear that he wanted to watch these with me but he just wants to see me get all kilig and stuff! Jeez.

I've also downloaded some other nice films but let's see if I can convince him tomorrow :)

Sunday with a View

Hello again !

Today we had a very spontaneous adventure to Tagaytay! My dad decided that we'd have lunch there and visit the Skyranch. I've never seen that place before so hearing about it made me excited. (Since there would be a ferris wheel. Yay! )

My outfit for today was all blue. Funny because it's actually a dress and I wore a skirt on top of it because the dress 

Can't remember where I bought these pieces :<

We had ... I can't really recall all the filipino dishes. There's bulalo, liempo, fried chicken, buttered shrimp and some rice. :) Yummy food but the service and place wasn't really good. I liked this place before all these changes appeared. I don't know if we'll ever come back here, sadly :( .

We also went to Sky Ranch which is an amusement park! Compared to other amusement parks in other places, it's pretty small. It was cool seeing booths filled with shirts, fans featuring Tagaytay, food, and other trinkets. I bought two pairs of earrings; One is peridot studs while another is just a heart stud. :)

We at some more food at Krispy Kreme then went home! On the way home though we bought some really small roses for the garden. The picture I took of it got blurry so none for this post :( 

While we waited in the car, I spotted a hello kitty van!

Our July in The Rain

Hello everyone!

Sorry I didn't post last night ! So many things happened yesterday. I'll sum it up here; Student Council, Wound Revealed, Anniversary.  That's pretty much what happened.

First, my friends and I got our pictures taken for the student council campaign. We're all running for level representative! I really looked messed up in my picture so I tried to photoshop it a bit but gave up and asked one of my friends (who does not go to my school) to help me.

But alas, I feel like a hopeless case. 

Even if I put some make up on and tried to fix my hair, I still looked terrible :'( Oh and I'd like to mention Ely and thank her for giving me a make up piece ! Thank you so much I love it and I'll use it ♥ !! Check out her blog here !!

MOVING ON THOUGH

I got a good look at my finger yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I thought. The nurse told me that I tore my skin off so there would be a lot of blood. I see already the membrane healing itself . I would post pictures buuut it may be graphic and it might trigger some people. I'll try putting it in a spoiler window thing on this post soon when I learn how. Hahaha. I just have to clean it every day and I should be as good as new in the later days of next week ! :)

MOVING ON ONCE AGAIN

It was also a very special day and this day means a whole lot to me. This was the day I met my boyfriend :)

I would post a picture but he requested that I won't. (He's shy :') Hahaha) 

So after my classes, he surprised me on my commute home with a Red Ribbon package!

It's been 2 years since we met and we've been dating for nearly 2 years as well. He caught me off guard because he spooked me and I got so frightened. I thought he was someone else until he hugged me and said 'Hello'.

Greek Salad with Blood Dressing?!

Hello everyone!

I'm quite surprised I've already attracted some viewers!
So again, My name is Katrina and today's events were pretty scary.

Today we had kitchen practical, so I'm helping out in the kitchen, specifically the cold kitchen.

COLD KITCHEN(noun)

Where food that does not 

require cooking is prepared.

ex. salads and sandwiches

Today was one of our busiest days EVER!! Our professor/head chef left us before the restaurant opened to attend an important briefing elsewhere. I thought my part of the kitchen wouldn't be asked to make a lot of things but, I was wrong. We made in total 20 sandwiches in one day. I mean, we're a small school and I didn't think that many sandwiches would be gone in just a few hours!! But hey, it was fun !

Now the highlight of the day, why is there blood dressing on my Greek Salad??

Well it's because

I'm trooper pfft

I cut my finger. 

"It probably isn't that big" 

Yeah I think it isn't reaally

 I actually cut off a chunk of my finger. About 1 cm long and 0.5 cm deep. And there was A LOT OF BLOOD. I was surprised I didn't freak out. My instincts just told me to remain calm. It only hurt like hell when I ran water down on the wound.

Expectation

 I didn't want my fellow classmates to panic, despite the blood pooling in my palm and running down my forearm.

Reality

"Oh shit"

Sad thing about it was that I didn't really get "immediate medical attention". The nurse in my building was MIA so we opted to wait first. I waited (what felt like) 10 minutes and just decided to cross the street and go into the highschool clinic which took a student assistant and I about 5 minutes to get to. I got bandaged up and I guess I passed out due to blood loss in the clinic and slept for 2 hours :') The student assistant also bought me pineapple juice since I needed something sweet. Thank you for going out of your way and doing so! :') I was hoping for cake but can't complain.

I went back to campus and reassured everyone that I'm fine. I bought some tacos and it was delicious.

So yeah, pretty eventful I guess. Made tons of sandwiches, chopped up my finger, ate some tacos. Today is a pretty good day :)
