De-pooping Shrimp and Burnt Butter??

On Fridays we have our cooking class focused on Fish and Meat dishes.

Last Friday, we just had our first meal done!

We made Shrimp Jambalaya and Beef tenderloin wrapped in Bacon with Hollandaise sauce on top of string beans.

The Shrimp Jambalaya reminds me of Paella and ours came out quite spicy !! We learned how to devein a shrimp (which is de-pooping to me hahaha). It was really interesting!

When we made the Hollandaise sauce, we burnt the butter and it was really terrible! :'( Everything smelt like burnt popcorn and we had to get another butter... sigh such a waste! But it was alright afterwards, we made a pretty decent sauce even though it was a bit on the sour side.

I really enjoyed it! And it actually doesn't take very long to make, just long to prep everything.

Once I've perfected making it again at home, I'll share the recipe :) 

But I believe the serving amount we made is good for one cover so if you want to make for more people, you'd want to adjust the measurements ♥
